DESCRIPTION:
Jurisdictions, organizations, and individuals will have the opportunity to listen to and engage in a presentation
on the important topic of sustaining programs and services in times of scarce resources. Because no one can rely on a single source of funding today,
it is important to explore cross-agency, cross-program, and cross-jurisdictional collaborations, as well as private and public sources for funding opportunities.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Introduce you to using social marketing or public relations in your sustainability strategy
- Highlight two jurisdictions who successfully sustained initiatives that made huge strides for children and families in their communities
- Introduce you to tools to help you explore alternative funding strategies
- Introduce templates and resources that will help you guide your team through the process of strategic planning for sustainability
